If you haven't done any of this, people will tolerate you at least.

And anyone that has a problem with saying we should vote and volunteer for whatever reason, apparently you have flunked civics. If anyone suggests killing the politicians responsible, what is wrong with you?

Seriously. Vote in more Democrats. We still have time.

It is important to remember that safe options are still out there no matter where you live, including ways to get abortion inducing medication and how to safely self manage an abortion at home, abortion funds to help you travel to a clinic out of state if needed, resources to make sure you find legitimate clinics, and hotlines if you are concerned about something while self managing an abortion or making sure you stay under the legal radar when planning or having an abortion.

Here are some good resources for anyone in need of an abortion, regardless of where you live in the U.S.

An international aid group that delivers abortion medication through the mail to people in the U.S. They will even send them to you if you are not pregnant, so that you can already have them on hand if you ever need them: aidaccess.org

Let’s spread awareness and resources and support those resources during this dark time for America. Many need our help.

@SteveRogers @TonyStark
To my fellow Pennsylvanians:

We have a GOP nominee for governor who thinks that the idea of "my body, my choice" is ridiculous. He's vowed that, if elected, he will abolish abortion here with (I believe) no restrictions, and we have a Republican majority legislature that will happily give him the bill he wants to sign. The choice of our next governor couldn't be more critical. A Democratic governor would never sign such a bill. Please vote for Josh Shapiro and Austin Davis in November and ask your friends and family, too.

We also need to elect John Fetterman over Mehmet Oz, who doesn't even live in our state.

Yes, we have two loony Republicans running for the top two offices in the state.

Both Democrats are polling well over them but we need to make sure there's a massive Democratic victory. :voteblue:

Everyone should donate to Planned Parenthood's Action Fund if you have the disposable income.

The fight isn't over. Progress will prevail again.

@Mrfunkedude @doot

I really don’t want to do the mansplaining thing, and i sincerely apologize, but i am horrified at the prospect of women losing their freedom because of our increasingly theocratic country.

Just using a VPN isn’t enough. The VPN needs to a non-US provider where it’s minimally a hassle, and perhaps impossible, to for US states to subpoena records. Everyone loves to think VPN providers don’t keep logs, but many do - because they are compelled to. The proton vpn service is not bad here.

Sign up for a free proton mail and only use that for any “activities” you may be signing up for. Only use that through the VPN and do not associate it with any of your social media accounts.

Inform yourself about what your state laws do and don’t permit. Hopefully there will be a clearinghouse for this soon. I am very concerned that this will be a moving target, and certain things that seem legal (going to a state or country that permits an abortion to get one or to get medication may become criminal. Today’s federal government will likely not permit such a thing, but when the next republican takes the presidency, I expect that will change).

Finally, vote blue at all levels of government. Localities are becoming much more important. Local sheriffs, judges, prosecutors, mayors, state congress, governors, are all becoming incredibly important in protecting your online activities.

I don't live in Pennsylvania but close enough to know how important November's elections are to the entire country.

I'm pitching in to help Josh Shapiro and Austin Davis get elected. I hope others will, too.
Support Josh Shapiro for Governor! We need your help to keep Pennsylvania in Democratic hands.
Austin Davis for Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania

@TonyStark I have to admit I'm scared but I'm not giving up, either. I fear for where this country is headed.

But I agree we can't give up.

We had an energizing demonstration yesterday in downtown for abortion rights.

Sharing some pictures.

Please attend these if you can in your area.

We discussed ways to support women and people in groups being attacked by this current wave of repression and how to support those seeking an abortion.

We discussed candidates and ways to get out the vote and talk to voters. Some of that we already do, but meeting up and motivating one another and showing our numbers built strength.

I'm not giving up and neither should you. Get involved. Support the people who need it. Vote. Help get out the vote.

Even if it didn't have the desired effect, I believe the protests made a difference in the collective consciousness. Just like Fridays for Future did. Of course, protest alone is not everything. It must lead to constructive action / change.

When even George Will knows it's bad.

The concept of originalism is nonsense. Not only have times and weapons changed, but the population of the U.S. at the time of the second amendment was approximately 20% of today's L.A. metro area.

The people who wrote this amendment were afraid of invasion from a foreign power, not their fellow citizens.

Let's look to the law of unintended consequences to follow this ridiculous ruling to its conclusion. I posted an article only about a week ago about how the idea of open carry was causing people to avoid public places.

Stores, shopping malls and town centers empty because people are afraid to shop with individuals toting 'open carry' weapons. How can I tell whether that weaponized person is a law-abiding citizen or a person on a murderous rampage? Do I just assume?

This is a recipe for the hollowing-out of the whole social strata that underpins our lives.

Opinion | The Supreme Court’s gun ruling is a serious misfire-
