People with sense want potholes, bridges and buildings fixed. They want clean water to drink. They want good schools and childcare and the jobs that will be created with all of these things. And they know that it will be paid for.

The smart Republicans, what few there are, are getting on board.

Democrats need to get it together and vote in a block. Pass this legislation and then never let the country forget who got them their jobs, roads, bridges, clean water, and more - and who wanted to keep it from them. It's popular with enough voters that the process isn't the thing.

I can't think of anything worse than letting this opportunity go by. It's a win in every way to get something done and something good. Two bills, one bill. What we want to avoid is no bill.
