I sincerely hope DOJ completely bankrupts and dismantles this entire corrupt organization. To have highly trained, highly organized, and highly armed former — and current — law enforcement and military agitating to wage war on American citizens and elected officials here on American soil is beyond dangerous. They are an anti-American domestic terrorist organization that participated in an attempted coup, and I applaud their arrest on sedition. Keep the arrests coming!

@MariaHill They're afraid of being called out on the lies like Steve Inskeep did. They should be embarrassed.

A cohort of unelected, unaccountable philosopher kings overruled the decided judgment of those whom we elected to protect us from a centuries-worst plague. Those whom we elected made their decision by listening to the scientists, doctors, and epidemiologists who’ve spent their careers studying this stuff in interest of worker safety and public health.

The fact that at least two on the court —at minimum— are all but certain to have committed perjury in their sworn testimony before Congress, along with disavowing their entire alleged judicial philosophy, only adds to the galling nature of their perfidy.

You can't convince partisan hacks who have no more sense of compassion, decency, or responsibility than Ayn Rand to allow themselves to be "convinced" by Biden or any lawyer representing his administration or any agency thereof.

Now the right wing SCOTUS gives rights to a virus.

I just want to point out that I see a few headlines calling this a setback to Joe Biden and it's not. It's a setback for all of the United States and for all of democracy.

@TonyStark We have a whole coalition ready. This is not what we voted for.

Dem angry that her state has become more democratic, would like Republicans to suppress votes so that she and her other Dem Senator can lose in next election.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel says that Republican presidential candidates can no longer participate in the typical debates vs. the Democratic candidate as we've come to know them (sponsored by the Commission on Presidential Debates).

I wonder how this came about, since no one before TFG talkined about refusing to debate a Democrat. Previous candidates Republican candidates then Governor, now Senator Mitt Romney -- McDaniels' uncle, he must be so proud -- and Senator John McCain, Presidents George W. Bush and George H. W. Bush all participated in CPD debates. TFG did too, but he complained about having to do so and then couldn't behave himself in either cycle. Remember him lurking behind Clinton, trying to talk over Biden.

Republicans have no respect for norms and institutions. They are no longer conservatives at all. What are they conserving? Nothing.

Ronna McDaniel is at it again

Senator Sinema doesn't work for the American people, she has sold herself to big donors and lobbyists, it's all about her making money.

Watching the Senate floor.

I know what Joe Manchin’s priorities are: coal and rich people.

I have no idea what Krysten Sinema’s priorities are. They sure aren't voting rights or any democratic priorities.

The House of Representatives has already passed two pieces of voting rights legislation, the goals of which are to ease access to the ballot for all Americans (all) and to stop state efforts to impose laws that make access to the ballot more difficult. Those laws have all been proposed by and already passed by many Republican-run states in the name of ballot integrity.

Yet no evidence of fraud has been produced to show that such restrictions are needed. A great deal of evidence proves that these laws will have most of their impact on voters of color.

No courage, Senator Sinema. Arizona, please limit her to the one term if she won't get this.

I just meet my mother for lunch. I don't think she'll be envious though.

You don't want to go to the hospital for anything right now if you can possibly avoid it. Overworked, understaffed, burned out, supply shortages, agency nurses unfamiliar with that hospital and its doctors, teeming with unvaccinated COVID positive patients, sick people stacked up in ERs waiting for an inpatient bed.

Part of the scourge of the unvaccinated is that they are degrading the entire health care system for everyone else, regardless of your medical needs.

At this point, I think observing public health protocols is your civic duty, but, unfortunately, a lot of the people occupying hospital beds right now do not share that view. They reject science until the ambulance pulls up to the ER, then they want to burn medical resources in a selfish zero sum bonfire before anyone else can use them.

@TonyStark Better mitigations for omicron are coming. That will include improved vaccinations and better meds to treat acute infection. In the meantime, it's still wise to protect ourselves, one another, and our healthcare teams....especially those working in our country's hospitals.

Take it seriously and get vaccinated and boosted right now if you haven't yet. Wear a good mask.

Mandates are working, no matter what GQP may say. My work has instituted a vax mandate& every one of the co-workers who have dragged their feet are making appointments. As of Feb 9th, my place will be 100% vaccinated.

@DrHankPym Amazing that restricting the purchase of alcohol and cannabis to vaccinated people is what gets people vaccinated, but

"Mild" means you probably won't die (if you're vaccinated.) There's a lot of hurt between being sick and dying, and even worse, there's a whole lot we don't know about the long-term effects of this.

It makes no sense to think there's a benefit to going out and "getting it over with." The higher the infection rate, the sooner mutations will emerge, propelling the entire COVID-19 disaster ever-onward.

It's like saying you just want to go to Vegas, lose all your money, and get it over with. At least get a tattoo first. Or better yet, shots if you haven't had them.

U.S. energy news including that Louisville Gas and Electric and Kentucky Utilities will retire 2,000 MW of coal power by 2036 but doesn’t plan to close its final coal plant until 2066, but we're going to make them change their minds and close them before that I certainly hope.
